The educational program is focused on developing the skills of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL), as well as Russian literature and civilization in a foreign language classroom. Students study Russian philology in its various aspects, methods of research in the field of linguistics and foreign language didactics, acquire knowledge, skills and practical experience in teaching Russian to foreign students. In addition, foreign students develop practical skills in Russian language everyday and scientific communication and study the theory of translation.
Target audience:
The program is intended for both Russian and foreign students interested in linguistics and teaching Russian as a foreign language. We invite applicants with degrees in linguistics, philology, literature, and other fields of humanities and social sciences. For foreign students, the required entry level of the Russian language should not be less then B1.
Program advantages:
- Comprehensive development of teaching skills: qualified teahers of Russian are in demand today at language training centers around the world.
- Improving practial skills in Russian: the program aims at improving the communication competence of both native speakers of the Russian language and foreign students and up-grading the Russian language level in accordance with the national testing program TRKI-TORFL.
- Continuous cross-cultural communication and teaching practice in mixed groups with foreign students: working in mixed groups gives a unique opportunity to aqcuire real experience in communication and training. The program provides students with teaching internship and continous pedagogical support.
