The program includes training in the fundamental aspects of materials science and considers the main modern promising types of materials. Much attention focuses on synthesis and formation of functional materials, control of their properties by varying the chemical composition and structure. An important feature of this program concerns the development of the theoretical basis of modern methods of preparation and certifying of materials. Students present their research results at various scientific conferences, developing communication skills and organizational abilities. Graduates of the master's program can conduct research activities as part of a research team, perform practical application in the field of chemistry and physics of materials using their advanced knowledge, develop new methods for obtaining materials, modify their target functional properties, and optimize technological processes.
