The main professional educational program of the bachelor's degree 05.03.06 "Ecology" is aimed at training specialists who are able to conduct research and practical work in various fields of modern ecology. The program has been implemented at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics for over 15 years. During this time, more than three hundred specialists have been trained working in the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, state bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, carrying out state administration management in the field of environmental protection and management; expert departments, centers and firms involved in environmental protection; and universities. The program is aimed at training specialists in research and environmental safety, as well as mid-level employees who are able to organize the activities of departments and participate in research, design, expert analysis, organizational, management, and cultural and educational activities. The possibility of specialization in almost any of the areas of modern ecology allows our students to make an accurate choice of the field of their future professional activity. The "Ecology" program provides fundamental training in natural science disciplines sufficient to continue training in master's programs. The use of active teaching methods and the inclusion of interdisciplinary projects in the program ensures that students, also develop a conscious ability to work in a team and the necessary leadership qualities along with professional competencies. The volume of practical activity allows students to consistently master the necessary level of qualification without additional training. The best domestic experience and URFU's own developments were used when designing the educational program and implementing training.
