RUSSIAN STUDIES IN REAL RUSSIA
Duration of studies: 2 years

Language of instruction: English
Entry requirements: BA in Social Sciences or Humanities, certificate of English proficiency (B2 level or higher). Final admission is decided upon an interview (a skype interview is possible).
Academic Head of the program: Alexey Antoshin, Doctor of History, Professor, Specialist in Russian History, Ural Federal University.
Program goal: Interdisciplinary by its nature, the program “Russian Studies” highlights Russian language, culture, society, political, economic and social situations, as well as Russia’s role in the global world. Students delve into the regional and economic characteristics of modern Russia, develop understanding of the country’s industrial development in the past and the structure of the national economy today. Program participants experience the country outside of capitals to gain an impression of ‘real’ Russia and to capture the non-Western view on phenomena of Russian contemporary life and its past. In view of career perspectives, this program gets you prepared for starting your own business or entering a top-ranking company including various economic entities, companies raising livestock, working for innovative manufacturing industries, focused on developing Russia's economic and political welfare. The academic staff of the program includes experts in Russian philosophy, economy, regional developments, history, culture and Russian as a foreign language.
